Even though many of us thought the NFL shouldn't have punished Ndamukong Suh for his hit last week on Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden (as seen in the above photo) he was fined $31500 anyway.

Since he already was fined $100000 for an illegal block on Vikings center John Sullivan earlier this season the league has invited Suh to New York to talk face-to-face about his latest infraction according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. Suh apparently will get the chance to explain why he shouldn't have been fined for his latest hit.

It was almost two years ago that the league invited Suh to visit the NFL offices in order to talk about his on-field play.

"I am very appreciative of the opportunity to sit and speak with the commissioner and his staff to clarify a few questions about my play and the game in general” Suh said at the time. “I have gained a better understanding how I need to play the game to help my team win."

Yet Suh continues to be punished -- even for hits that seem legal (the play last week wasn't flagged by the way).
