Bournemouth believe they are leading the race to land John Terry at the end of the season, according to a report.

On Monday, Terry announce his decision to leave Chelsea this summer after a 22-year stint at the club.

The news sparked rumours that clubs from the Premier League, Chinese Super League, Major League Soccer and the United Arab Emirates are all competing for his signature.

According to the Daily Mail however, it is Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe who is increasingly confident of landing the former England man next season.

Bournemouth failed in an attempt to sign Terry on loan during the January transfer window and are lining up a second assault as a result.
