The Washington Redskins brought in wide receiver Devery Henderson this offseason hoping he could provide some veteran depth in case of injuries. They quickly decided they didn't need him.

The team announced Wednesday that Henderson was released. The next logical question: Will Henderson wind up back in New Orleans?

The Saints have been looking for help at receiver following the season-ending injury to projected No. 3 wideout Joe Morgan. That's a role that Henderson held with the Saints for many years although the team was hoping to get younger at the position this season. (Henderson had only 22 catches for New Orleans last year.)
