It’s been rather quiet this week, as you well know. I checked in today with Reds GM Walt Jocketty and asked about various topics — some of which will be included in a story shortly on Reds.com/MLB.com.

One of the nuggets is that the Reds have explored adding former Indians center fielder Grady Sizemore, currently a free agent.

“We have [talked],” Jocketty said. “I’m not sure where that is right now. With the holidays, not much has happened.”

A former three-time All-Star with Cleveland from 2006-08, Sizemore hasn’t played in the big leagues since 2011. He’s been oft-injured, including having microfracture surgeries on both of his knees.
