Damien Brunner skated for about 15 minutes Thursday, but remains sidelined indefinitely

Brunner is bothered by a sore hip flexor that's nagged for a while.

"I tried," he said. "I thought it was going to be better, but it felt not that good. It's actually been bothering me since a couple of weeks. It got worse the last two games, and we'll see how it goes."

Brunner missed Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Coyotes at Jobing.com Arena, and won't play tonight at Colorado, either.

"We'll see how it goes," he said, "but the skating today was not that good."

Brunner is tied with Pavel Datsyuk for the team's lead with 11 goals.

The news wasn't much better for Mikael Samuelsson. He, too, went on the ice, briefly, but he, too, remains sidelined indefinitely. He's out, again, after suffering an injury to his pectoral muscle last Sunday. Samuelsson has played only four games because of injuries. "Not lucky at all," he said. "I bruised and tore my pec muscle."
