Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed to sell Gareth Bale to Real Madrid for a world record €120 million (£104.5m).

According to Spanish newspaper AS the two clubs have verbally agreed the deal after a series of “intense negotiations”.

However they also claim Madrid are yet to agree a payment plan with the north Londoners and it must also be confirmed whether any Real players will be included as makeweights in the deal.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is known to hold an interest in star duo Fabio Coentrao and Angel Di Maria and is also believed to be keen on 20-year-old striker Alvaro Morata.

According to the report chairman Daniel Levy has asked for the deal not to be made official until he finishes his summer spending spree.
