Nearly two months after signing him to a deal the Ravens announced Saturday afternoon that they have released receiver Brandon Stokley.

Although his 45-catch 544-yard five-touchdown season last year in Denver was his best since 2008 he turned 37 in June and caught only nine passes for 79 yards in three games this season in Baltimore (he missed last week's game with a groin injury and was listed as questionable this week).

The move isn't a huge surprise. Jacoby Jones will be back soon and even though Jones Deonta Thompson and Marlon Brown are listed as questionable this week the receiving corps is slowly getting healthier. That leaves Stokley odd man out -- at least for now.
