Early in Saturday’s preseason game vs. San Diego Cardinals running back Rashard Mendenhall showed an ability to bounce runs outside and to use his good speed to quickly pick up yardage.

However Mendenhall was sidelined in the first half because of his right knee and it’s questionable whether he’ll see any more work against the Chargers according to Darren Urban of AzCardinals.com.

The degree of the injury is unknown but Mendenhall was seen “walking around” Urban said.

The 26-year-old Mendenhall who joined the Cardinals in March after five seasons with the Steelers racked up 47 yards on just six carries in the first quarter against the Chargers.
