After watching Albert Pujols kick-start his once-lethargic season, the White Sox could find themselves forced to stretch their resources further in an attempt to spark their stagnant offense.

Aside from a two-run third inning, the Sox's offense was largely dormant again Wednesday night against journeyman Jerome Williams in a 7-2 loss to the Angels.

The Angels took the lead for good in the third inning when the embattled Pujols slammed a three-run homer off Gavin Floyd, who also surrendered a two-run homer to Vernon Wells in the sixth.
