Former Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Sunday in suburban Cleveland police told The Plain Dealer.

Police said they stopped Kosar for speeding at about 2:45 a.m. ET on U.S. Route 422 and noticed "a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle" according to The Plain Dealer citing a Solon police press release.

Kosar was alone in the car and took sobriety tests police told The Plain Dealer. Kosar later was taken to the Solon Police Department without incident.
