Phil Hughes is finally on the board for 2013.

After three straight no-decisions, coming in well-pitched games this season, Hughes finally got one to go his way. By going eight strong innings and allowing no earned runs and only four hits, the Yankees were able to give their beleaguered starter his first win of the year in a 4-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Saturday afternoon.

The only blemish came in the ninth inning when reliever Shawn Kelley allowed the A's leadoff hitter to reach and Yoenis Cespedes came across two batters later.
