New Orleans Pelicans starters, Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon, were both ruled out from playing in Wednesday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies because of an unspecified illness, the team announced.

Both players participated in the team's shootaround on Wednesday morning. Evans had averaged 22.0 points in the previous six games as a starter, while Gordon is the Pelicans' third-leading scorer with a 15.6 scoring average.

The Pelicans entered Wednesday trying to sweep the Grizzlies for the first time since the 2007-08 season after winning the first three games.
