Behind the second triple-double in franchise postseason history, the Indiana Pacers landed the first blow in their first-round playoff match-up Sunday, easily beating the Atlanta Hawks 107-90 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Paul George’s late-season shooting slump? All but forgotten. The third-year guard recorded 23 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists to secure the first triple-double in Pacers playoff history since Mark Jackson achieved the feat in the 1998 postseason.

Prior to Sunday’s game, George had never scored more than 17 in a playoff game. It was also the second triple-double of his career.

The victory is the Pacers’ first in Game 1 of a playoff series since 2006.
