Donald Driver, the Green Bay Packers' all-time leading receiver in receptions and yards, will formally announce his retirement on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at a public event in the Lambeau Field Atrium.

Fans are invited and a limited number of free tickets will be available starting at 9 a.m. Friday in person at the Packers ticket office, the team said in a news release. There will be a limit of four tickets per person.

"I played my entire career in Green Bay and have always enjoyed a special bond with the fans," Driver said in a statement. "I can think of no better way to retire than to celebrate with them and the Packers organization."

In addition to Driver, Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy, general manager Ted Thompson and head coach Mike McCarthy will attend the announcement and speak about Driver.

Hall of Fame Green Bay quarterback issued this statement: "It's been a great pleasure getting to know Donald over these years. His contribution to the history of the Green Bay Packers has been extraordinary. I am honored to congratulate him on all of his achievements on and off the field."
