The road to their first Central Division title since 2004 is right where Indiana Pacers want it, thanks to a 11/2-game cushion at the All-Star break.

Danny Granger, the Pacers’ leading scorer from the past five years, could join new All Star Paul George and the rest of his teammates against the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

The same can’t be said for the Pacers’ division counterparts three hours up the road in Chicago.

The return of former MVP Derrick Rose to the Bulls’ lineup is like murky swamp water.

Early next month. Late next month. Not at all.

Nobody knows when it will happen.

Even if Rose does return this season, there’s no excuse for the Pacers not to win the Central.

Not winning one of the NBA’s worst divisions would be looked at as a disappointment.

The Bulls are the only legitimate threat to the Pacers in the division. Milwaukee is five games behind the Pacers and Cleveland and Detroit are both at least 11 1/2games back.
