Paul MacLean didn't exactly get a vote of confidence from Bryan Murray Friday.

While the Senators GM noted the club's coach still has three years left on his contract in an interview on the TSN 1200 pre-game show, Murray said he'll wait until the end of the season to decide what changes will be made.

Asked specifically about MacLean's future by host Ian Mendes, Murray was non-commital.

"I don't have any definite answer but Paul has got a contract going forward," said Murray. "He was coach of the year last year. I don't know what happened this year necessarily as far as performance is concerned.

"I think he is a very good coach. I think he has the ear of the players in the room. We've had some really tough outings. It's shared among a lot of people, myself included. We thought our team was better. We thought we had enough skill here to offset a couple of things we were missing last year.
