The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a one-year deal with right-hander Jair Jurrjens, CBSSports.com reported on Thursday.
Jurrjens will receive a base salary of $1.5 million and could make up to $4 million with incentives, the website reported.
The 26-year-old Jurrjens had spent the previous five seasons with the Atlanta Braves but was not tendered a contract by the team in November.
Jurrjens started 10 games last season for Atlanta, going 3-4 with a 6.89 ERA. He struggled early, going 0-2 with a 9.37 ERA in four starts before the Braves shipped him to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The difficult 2012 came after a 2011 season in which Jurrjens made his first and only All-Star team. He went 13-6 for the Braves, and his 2.60 ERA ranked third in the National League.
