ESPN's Marc Stein reports that the Cavaliers are discussing a buy out with Omri Casspi. The deadline for players to be bought out and still be eligible for the playoffs is tomorrow. The Rockets are apparently his biggest suitor.
Given their three-point heavy offense, the Rockets make sense as a suitor for Casspi. I don't think that there is any chance he sees actual playing time for them, given their small forward depth with Chandler Parsons, Carlos Delfino, and now Francisco Garcia. I guess his thought process is that if he's going to sit the bench, he might as well do it for a contender. Casspi is also recovering from having his appendix removed this weekend, and there is no timetable for his return.
