The Oakland Raiders may end up being hte only game in town. The Oakland Athletics and the Golden State Warriors have both already made their intentions to leave the city clear. Now, Oakland sports fans finally have some positive news to reflect on. It appears that the Oakland Raiders are at least interested in remaining the Oakland Raiders.

That is, of course, if they can get a new stadium built in Oakland, something that is much easier said than done.

Over the weekend it was reported that the Raiders have agreed to help fund at least a third of a $500,000 report that will assess the potential sites for a new stadium. The Oakland-Alameda Joint Powers Authority will also be conducting a separate $500,000 report to look at the economic feasibility of the "Stadium City" proposal, that would feature not only a new stadium for the Raiders, but also new housing retail and potentially, technology research facilities.
