Two days after the Super Bowl, the Jets announced a flurry of coaching changes to their staff on Tuesday. As was previously reported by the Daily News, former tight ends coach Mike Devlin has taken over for Dave DeGuglielmo as their offensive line coach, and DeGuglielmo will not be retained by the Jets.

A team spokesman initially denied the report, which ultimately came to fruition on Tuesday.
DeGuglielmo came from the Dolphins with fired offensive coordinator Tony Sparano.
Assistant tight ends coach Lance Taylor accepted a position with the Carolina Panthers as their assistant wide receivers coach.
In addition, the Jets made numerous hirings. Louis Aguiar was hired to be their new assistant special teams coach. Aguiar, the Jets’ punter from 1991-93, will work under special teams coordinator Ben Kotwica, who replaces the retiring Mike Westhoff.
Steve Hagen, the Browns’ tight ends coach for the last four seasons, will take over for Devlin in that position with the Jets. Other hirings include assistant offensive line coach Ron Heller, assistant strength and conditioning coach Pierre Ngo and assistant defensive line/linebackers coach Jeff Weeks. Weeks, who was on the Jets’ defensive staff from 2009-2011.
