Texans fans knew a suspension was coming. Now we know exactly how much time Antonio Smith will miss for swinging a helmet at Richie Incognito in last Saturday's Texans-Dolphins game.

Most Texans fans were resigned to some sort of punishment in the wake of Antonio Smith swinging a helmet at Richie Incognito in last weekend's Texans-Dolphins preseason game. Last night rumor was that Smith would be suspended for the Texans' remaining two preseason games. That reported punishment never struck me as likely; suspending a veteran for two preseason games and not asking him to forfeit a regular season paycheck isn't much of a deterrent. If the NFL was going to suspend Houston's Ninja Assassin it had to be during the regular season.
