Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is ready to raid the French market again to boost his strike-force.

The Geordies are keen on Metz's Senegalese striker Diafra Sakho, and his club could be ready to sell this summer as his contract expires in 2015.

Newcastle's top striker this season, Loic Remy, is only on a season-long loan from Queens Park Rangers, and both Tottenham and Arsenal are considering making moves at the end of the season.

The Magpies could also sell Papiss Cisse this summer - there is big interest in him even though he rejected moves away in January and has scored just two league goals this season.

Those scenarios have the Tyneside club scouring Europe for new talent to boost their squad and Sakho has caught their eye.

Newcastle have been hugely successful in the French market thanks to strong connections made by chief scout Graham Carr, who has brought over a host of Ligue Une players to the North-East.
