From Chuck Taylor's to Air Jordan's, there have been several signature basketball shoes over the years. John Wall's Reebok Zigs will not be one of them as the shoe company and the Wizards guard have parted ways after two-and-a-half years and three different Wall shoes, most recently the Wall 3: Zig Escape.
Wall, the NBA's former #1 overall pick, inked a 5-year, $25-million deal with the shoe company in 2010 as Reebok unveiled a unique campaign centered around Wall with the new ZigTech technology. For whatever reason, the collaboration didn't work out.
Wall quickly signed on with Adidas, and he will wear those when the third-year player returns to play for the Wizards this season -- which could be as soon as this Saturday versus Atlanta. Wall has missed all of this season so far with a sore knee.
