The New Orleans Saints made a slew of roster moves following this weekend's rookie minicamp.

The team signed defensive end Baraka Atkins, wide receiver Brent Leonard, defensive back Korey Lindsey, kicker Jose Maltos, running back Khiry Robinson and guard Jeremiah Warren. The Saints also waived running back Shawne Alston, cornerback Ryan Lacy and center Ryan Lee.

Atkins, 6-foot-4, 265-pounds, is a two-year NFL veteran who was originally selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. Atkins appeared in 21 games in two seasons for the Seahawks and posted 28 tackles (19 solo), two sacks, one pass defense and two fumble recoveries. Most recently, the Sarasota, Fla. native participated in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2012. The two-time All-ACC honorable mention selection finished his career at the University of Miami (Fla.) with totals of 175 tackles, 18 sacks, nine passes defensed, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries, including one for a touchdown, in 49 games with 45 starts along the defensive line.

Leonard (6-2, 186) is a rookie from Louisiana-Monroe. He set a Warhawks career record with 209 receptions. This followed a senior campaign for the former walk-on that concluded with him finishing with a school-record 104 receptions for 1,118 yards and 10 touchdowns as he became the first ULM player in 10 seasons to go over the 1,000 yard receiving mark.

Lindsey (5-10, 194) was originally a seventh round choice of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2011 NFL draft. The Baton Rouge native has spent part of the last two seasons on the active rosters of the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts while also participating on the practice squads of the Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Redskins. Lindsey played in 50 career games at Southern Illinois with 36 starts and completed his career with 14 interceptions, ranked third in school history, while attaining first-team FCS Associated Press All-American honors as both a junior and senior.
