Neftali Feliz is not guaranteed a spot in the Rangers' rotation when he returns from the disabled list, manager Ron Washington said Friday.

Feliz, in his first season as a starter, went on the disabled list Monday because of a sprained ligament in the right elbow and is expected to be out until at least late June. In his first public comments since the injury, Feliz said through an interpreter that "in my mind" he will go back into the rotation when healthy.

Washington begged to differ. Feliz's primary concern, Washington said, should be getting healthy. The club will take it from there.

"We're not ready to discuss what he's going to do or not do," Washington said. "Get healthy, and when he gets to that point, we'll make that decision."
