If Shea Weber were in elementary school, and the teacher asked him to share how he spent this summer vacation, the Nashville Predators' captain simply would rehash the good memories.
"I went home (British Columbia) and saw a lot of my family," Weber said. "I spent time with my brother and my dad and spent a lot of time on the lake. Spent some time in the sun and some time in the water and trained hard in preparation for the season."
It's the business part of the summer that Weber would rather leave out: The arbitration hearing with the Predators, and winning a one-year, $7.5 million award.
"It was obviously a tough thing," Weber said. "But when you're home with all the people you love and who love you, it's easy to get away."
