The Predators haven’t been engaged for a full 60 minutes recently.

During a five-game winless streak, Nashville had lapsed early and responded late, but it always found a way to lose.

On Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings, however, the Predators scored first and powered their way to a 3-2 victory in a wild finish in front of a sellout crowd of 17,113 at Bridgestone Arena.

The victory for Nashville (17-18-4) broke a five-game winless skid. The Predators lost to Dallas 4-1 on Friday night after the three-day Christmas break.
