Pablo Sandoval's MRI confirmed the original diagnosis that the third baseman has a left hamstring strain. Sandoval received treatment Wednesday and will do the same the next two days before the Giants make a roster decision.

"If we have to make a call, we'll do it Friday," Bochy said. "With the day off (Thursday), it gives us a couple of days to see how he responds."
