Centre back should now be at the Bridge until June 2015.

Returning Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho will now have the final say as to whether experienced Blues captain John Terry is offered a new deal to remain at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of his current contract which runs out next summer according to reports in the Sunday Mirror.

The veteran former England international has enjoyed an excellent start to the new campaign following the return of the self-styled ‘Special One’ to west London at the end of the previous season with Terry even heading home Chelsea’s vital equaliser in their 1-1 draw with arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
