The Wings get a nice boost in the lineup with the return of "The Mule" Johan Franzen. Of course, it couldn't just be an addition. We all know the rule for this season. When someone gets healthy and returns someone else has to get hurt. This time around it's Valtteri Filppula's turn to visit the injury list. Flip is spending the night icing his shoulder alongside the other half of the team that isn't playing. Franzen hasn't played since February 10 which happens to be the last time Detroit played the Kings. His size up front will be a helpful addition against the big L.A. forwards.

Detroit could also get some help on the blue line (depending on how you look at it). Kyle Quincey is a game time decision after missing the weekend's games with an ankle injury. Brendan Smith is also a possibility to play. Smith has not played in the last 11 games. If both defenseman can go, they'll likely fill right in on the third pair replacing both Kent Huskins and Jakub Kindl. Regardless you thoughts on Quincey, I'd say that's an upgrade to your 5th and 6th defensemen.
