With consistency problems continuing at small forward, New Orleans Hornets Coach Monty Williams said they want some flexibility to possibly bring in new guys at the spot. Until it happens, however, Williams is likely to continue using a rotation that involves Lance Thomas starting and Al-Farouq Aminu coming off the bench.

Although Aminu had not played in five of the previous seven games due to coach's decision, he played 30 minutes in Wednesday night's 104-92 loss to the Houston Rockets and scored eight points and grabbed eight minutes. Williams said he went back and watched game tapes of their first five games of the season and noticed how effectively Aminu ran the floor, defended and attacked the basket.

But to continue earning extended minutes, Williams said it's on Aminu to play more consistent. Aminu has not scored in double figures in the last 13 games he's played. He is averaging 7.6 points after 26 games. On Friday, the Hornets waived forward Dominic McGuire, who was vying for minutes off the bench with Aminu.
