The superstars have arrived. Zach Parise and Ryan Suter received matching $98 million contracts and sweater "A's." The "C" still belongs to Mikko Koivu, however.

And so does the locker room.

Koivu is the captain, and as former Wild forward and captain Wes Walz points out, most facets of an NHL team's play run through its captain.

But players insist only outsiders talk about whose team it is.

The guy with the "C" on his sweater might have the most visible role, winger Dany Heatley said, "but there's a lot of leaders in this room."

And Walz said the high- dollar offseason additions of Parise and Suter should only enhance that dynamic.

"Mikko's done a lot of heavy lifting around here for the last two or three years," said Walz, now a hockey analyst for Fox Sports North. "He's carried a few different guys on the ice. That in itself puts a lot of pressure on anybody. The fact that we've got other guys that can come in and help carry that load, I think that just brings his anxiety level down, and I think we're going to see a level to Mikko's game that we've never seen around here before."

Although the Wild signed Parise and Suter to headline-grabbing contracts, Koivu said he does not feel overshadowed.
