A familiar face returned to practice on Saturday for the Winnipeg Jets.

Right-winger Antti Miettinen took part in practice at MTS Iceplex for the first time since suffering an upper-body injury on the second day of training camp.

“It was nice to be on the ice,” Miettinen said. “I’ve been around the locker-room and stuff, but it’s a whole lot different to be skating with the guys. I’m kind of feeling part of the team again.”

Miettinen won’t play on Sunday against the Bruins, but he will go on the road when the Jets take off on a five-game road trip that starts Tuesday in Buffalo.

“He’s going to have to practise with us for a little while first, so he’ll come on the road with us and then we’ll see how he’s feeling,” head coach Claude Noel said.
