Seattle starter "King Felix" Hernandez left in the fourth inning after being hit in the right forearm by a Michael Young liner. Hernandez emerged with a severe contusion but no fracture, which came as a relief to Young.
"I don't like to see people get hurt," said Young, who made an in-game call to the Seattle clubhouse to check on Hernandez. "I was hoping it wasn't anything serious. I've got a lot of respect for Felix. He competes."
