The Suns are in the thick of the Western Conference playoff hunt thanks to veterans Grant Hill and Steve Nash and a return to defense.

Before they were old enough to drive or get into rated-R movies, Shane Battier, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were huge Grant Hill fans.

Wade, who was 12 when the Pistons took Hill third overall in the 1994 NBA Draft, had a poster of Hill up on a wall in his bedroom.

James owned a pair of Hill's shoes, his basketball trading cards and Hill's Pistons jersey.

"I had the red, blue and white one," James made sure to point out at practice Monday. "They one before they changed to the fluorescent [blue] with the horse on it."
