According to an official statement released by MLB Roster Moves on Thursday afternoon, the New York Mets have activated closer Jeurys Familia from the league’s restricted list. However, the club has also elected to make three additional roster moves ahead of their series-finale against the Philadelphia Phillies slated for Thursday evening.

While recalling catcher Kevin Plawecki from Triple-A Las Vegas, the Mets have also optioned both right-handed pitcher Rafael Montero and left-handed pitcher Sean Gilmartin down to Triple-A Las Vegas.

On March, 29, Familia was notified by Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred that he had received a 15-game suspension for violating the league’s domestic violence policy. His recent stint on the sideline stemmed from an incident involving his wife that took place back in October 2016.
