Mavericks guard Devin Harris will continue with basketball activities despite a recurrence of pain in the left big toe, coach Rick Carlisle said Wednesday.

Harris had surgery on the toe in July and began practicing Dec. 2. He reported an increase of discomfort and pain in the toe after going through a spirited practice Tuesday.

Carlisle said the club’s medical staff does not believe the latest problem is serious. The plan calls for Harris to work to tolerance, stopping if the pain becomes too severe.
