The injuries keep coming for the Patriots.

Special teams captain Matthew Slater suffered a broken wrist and will miss 4-6 weeks a source told Karen Guregian.

Slater is listed as a wide receiver but he is only used on offense in emergency situations. The hit comes in the kicking game where Slater is in his third season as a captain and was elected to the last two Pro Bowls. His coverage on both kickoffs and punts is extraordinary.
The Patriots will turn to cornerback Marquice Cole and safety Nate Ebner to fill Slater's role. Kyle Arrington and Devin McCourty might need extra coverage reps too.
