Chicago Cubs starter Matt Garza threw on flat ground on Friday and reported no tightness or soreness.

Manager Dale Sveum said he'd throw a bullpen session in a few days before getting making his first rehab start for Double-A Tennessee.

After Sveum spoke to the media, Garza tweeted that he would be back on Wednesday.

Previously, the Cubs said Garza would make three minor league starts in addition to the simulated game he threw last Friday in Milwaukee. But the latest setback may have changed things.

"We'll evaluate all that," Sveum said. "But he hasn't lost any time, so we'll still stick with three, but it's probably looking a little bit like four.
