It took the Giants' franchise 130 years to have a perfect night. Matt Cain's evening will last forever.
Cain was perfect Wednesday night. The Giants' 27-year-old right-hander retired all 27 Houston hitters at AT&T Park. A crowd of 42,298 witnessed the first perfect game in franchise history as the Giants waltzed 10-0.
In the ninth inning, Cain got Brian Bogusevic on a foul fly to Melky Cabrera in left for the first out. Chris Snyder hit a routine fly to Cabrera for the second out.
