Sean Marshall is eligible to come off the disabled list Tuesday. And, right now, he’s on schedule for that.

“After today’s long-toss sessions and yesterday’s long-toss session,” he said. “I’ve put myself on a pretty good schedule. I don’t want to jinx it, but my arm strength and shoulder strength — with all the work the trainers have done — is really good.”

Marshall went on the disabled list last week with shoulder tendonitis. He was never shut down from throwing.

“It’s going really great,” he said. “I’ve thrown long toss the last three days. My strength is as good as it’s ever been. I put a big workload on yesterday. I felt near perfect today. I feeling really good.”

Marshall would be fine going on rehab assignment.

“I don’t know what they’re thinking,” he said. “But getting some game action would be good. I haven’t pitched in a game since my appearance on Sunday. I felt pretty good even for that one.

“But I have a pretty good idea where the ball is going. It’s just long toss. Some game action would be good, but I don’t think entirely necessary.”
