Stoke City are waiting on an answer from German striker Aaron Hunt after agreeing a fee with his club Werder Bremen.

The colourful 26 year-old has been stalling on a reply however and Stoke's optimism for the deal was waning a little this afternoon.

Hunt who has a German father and English mother has played all his football in his homeland with Bremen and graduated through the youth ranks with the German national side.

He was qualified to play for England through his mother but opted for the country of his birth and has now won a handful of caps.

He has played around 175 times for Bremen and boasts a modest scoring record of one in five but that is explained by a frequent appearance on the wing.

Hunt not a player to lack confidence in his own ability by all accounts has often endured an interesting past and hasn't always hit the headlines for the right reasons.
