Mark Cuban said Saturday evening that public-address announcer Sean Heath will continue with his duties as the Mavericks’ official screamer and crowd-rouser.

Heath’s comments on social media cost the owner $25,000 as the NBA fined Heath for criticizing referee Dan Crawford after a close loss to Golden State.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Cuban said when asked if Heath would continue in his position as the game announcer at American Airlines Center. “I just told him to stay off Twitter when it comes to games. I can’t talk about how important it is to have an amazing in-game environment and have somebody get all hyped up like I do, and then criticize him for doing what I do. That would be awful hypocritical of me.”

Cuban said he had no problem paying the fine.
