Mark Cuban is always such a sentimental guy, which is why he couldn't help weighing in on the Los Angeles Lakers before tonight's game.
Asked if he thought the Lakers were the new super team in the NBA, he said: "I don't know, I don't care. I just hope they suck.''
On a more serious note, Cuban said he's actually happy about the way things have turned out for Steve Nash, who has joined Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol as the Lakers' point guard.
"Nash made me look like an idiot,'' Cuban said of his decision to let him go in free agency in 2004. "Our doctors were telling us that it was going to be difficult for him to continue playing at the level he was at. And here he is signing a three-year deal at (38).
"Well, it's turned out OK. I just hate being wrong and we were wrong.
"I'm happy for Steve. He's a great guy. He's done amazing things. I wish he'd have won the MVPs with us. But it all worked out for the best.''
