San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili reached a two-year deal with the team, he announced on Twitter on Wednesday.

Ginobili, 35, has been a key member of the Spurs off the bench and will remain an important figure along with big man Tim Duncan and guard Tony Parker.

He averaged 11.8 points, 4.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds last season, but Ginobili struggled at times during the postseason and contemplated retirement in a dark moment after a poor performance against the Miami Heat in Game 4 in the Finals.

He rebounded with a 24-point, 10-assist performance in Game 5, cleared his head after the season and decided to play at least two more seasons.
