The furor over U-T cartoonist Steve Breen's Manti Te'o cartoon had barely died down when Maxim magazine breathed new life into the new Charger's fake girlfriend Thursday.

She landed at No. 69 on the national magazine's annual Hot 100 list, ahead of some of TV situation comedy's leading ladies, Zooey Deschanel, Aubrey Plaza and Kat Dennings, just to name a few. No. 1, by the way, is singer Miley Cyrus.

Be interesting to see how the Internet, which skewered Breen over his insensitivity, reacts to Maxim.

Breen's cartoon dropped on April 29, two days after the Chargers traded up to draft Te'o, the Notre Dame linebacker who finished second in the Heisman Trophy balloting then got involved in a little bit of off-the-field drama. Since then, Breen's cartoon has been retweeted and favorited thousands of times and shared thousands more on Facebook.

The cartoon's critics even helped elevate "Stay classy, San Diego" beyond its everpresent Internet status -- to uberpresent.
