Looming Wilfried Zaha loan means the Bluebirds aren't allowed to also borrow the Brazilian so they will slip Reds a few quid for soon-to-be-free-agent.

Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is signing Brazilian full-back Fabio da Silva from Manchester United - and he can play against them next week.

Fabio's time at the champions is up after five years, and he could even go head-to-head with his twin Rafael on his Premier League debut.

Solskjaer worked with Fabio when he was on the United coaching staff and, with his contract up in the summer, has talked the 23-year-old into joining him at the Bluebirds for a bargain fee.
