Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, a reported target for Manchester United, has been warned not to ‘play poker too much’ with his current employers amid an apparent wrangle over a proposed new contract.

The 24-year-old’s current deal at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of next season and negotiations are supposed to have broken down, leading to further speculation that Kroos could leave the club.

Kroos is reportedly holding out for the offer of a significantly increased salary, but former Bayern star Mehmet Scholl has urged the player to be content with what he has or else risk his future in Munich.
