The Penguins will attempt to win their 10th consecutive game Tuesday night against Washington without two of their stars.
Evgeni Malkin remains out with a shoulder injury, and defenseman Kris Letang is out with a lower-body injury.
Letang's injury is not believed to be serious, and coach Dan Bylsma said he is “day-to-day.”
Malkin said that playing on Friday at the New York Islanders is possible.
“I hope so,” Malkin said.
