As Jeremy Maclin reported to the NovaCare Complex for training camp on Thursday he was quickly surrounded by reporters. The Eagles’ wide receiver was tossed all sorts of questions from what kind of shape he’s in to whether the Birds have the talent necessary to recover from last season’s disappointment.

Not surprisingly Maclin was also asked about the predominant storyline: the ongoing quarterback competition. But unlike fellow wide receiver DeSean Jackson who recently predicted that Michael Vick will win the job Maclin was careful not to chose sides.

“You can’t get caught up in that man” Maclin said. “That’s a job that’s going to come from the coaches. That’s a decision that will come from the coaches. All we can do as receivers whoever’s out there throwing the ball be accountable and go out there and make plays for them.”
